Hi All,

Would appreciate your insight on this. I'm building a low end T206 set and need this card (link above)...but his name and the outline look a litte sketchy to me.

Is this card legit, or did it maybe take a trip to a doctor before being offered for sale???

I see the caption issue, but I think this a scanner thing and the card is fine.

Hi John, I think this one is a fake... a little surprised to see a fake Chance out there, but there are just a lot of issues with this one IMO. "CUBS" on the jersey is way too bold, the font for his name is also too bold, the print lines running through his face and jersey, the general outline of him looks nothing like I've seen on other t206's, etc.

I'd like to see what some of the T206 experts on here (I'm not one of them) think about it. I'd run from this card though.

I wish I could say for sure it was fake because then I could have posted "no chance". As it is, I will leave it to the experts.

You are thinking the same way I'm thinking..I see the same issues...but again, I defer to the group as I still consider myself a beginner with this set

I’ve handled thousands. As many here have as well. Im 99.999999% positive it’s fine. I think it’s just a printer issue. I’d bet a large amount of money on it that it is fine.

It’s off center top to bottom which is actually a good sign as well.

The pictures (probably cell phone pictures) make it look a little off but it's real.

That certainly looks real to me. If you're comfortable with the surface abrasions, then bid with confidence. That's a nice, big border at the top.

When you get that card, illuminate the back side with a black light... That card won't fluoresce, because it's real.

The auction just ended, $255.02. That's a real final price.

I don’t like it. Scanner issue or not. The name looks black and should be brown. He used a regular filter on the back in one picture but kept the brightness high for the front. JMO.
