Image Assistance Needed:
I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, technically speaking, so, please type any responses clearly.
Evidently, Microsoft updated something and I can no longer just make a copy of an imaged downloaded from my phone and expect it to be right-side up. The 'save a copy' option seems to have vanished - I tried the rotate button, but cannot seem to get that straight. You can see my results on my latest BST live auctions. I did get the back of the Drysdale card corrected, but could not replicate my actions for the other images. Any help will be greatly appreciated, -Robbie |
still looking for help...anyone?

So, you downloaded images on your phone and wish to post those same images to Net54 from your phone, but they keep showing up incorrectly?
If that's right, you might try emailing the images to yourself and then opening them on a computer in order to do any editing. Then you can post from there |

What I've been doing for a while is to take the photos with my phone; send them to my email; download them to my PC- at which point...up to now they had been 'sideways' - then I make a copy and it turns out right. This past time, however, I am unable to make a copy of the downloaded image...oh, I can rotate them...just cannot find the right combination of rotations to make them right. I really hate to give everyone who views them a crick in their necks, but that's were we are right now. Thanks...I'll keep fiddling with it. . |
I post a lot of photos from my phone on another collector's site I'm on. Many folks there struggle with this same issue of phone photos uploading sideways. A simple workaround I've found works for me every time. It really only takes an extra minute or so of your time...way quicker than involving a PC in the process. Here are the steps I use:
1. Take photo with your phone. 2. Open the photo and click on the photo editing icon that allows you to crop the photo. 3. Make a slight cropping edit to the photo. (I usually just crop out the excess background and center the photo nicely. But any crop at all will do the trick.) 4. Save the edited (cropped) version of the photo to your phone gallery. 5. Upload the newly saved edited photo to your Net54 thread. It should now appear correctly oriented in your thread. Hope this helps! Kevin |
