Post War Set Building: A New Adventure
1 Attachment(s)
I collect a lot of things. Mostly prewar big names (Cobb, Ruth, Johnson, etc) and I also have a modern player addiction (Cal Raleigh) and collect all thing Mariners.
That being said, I have wanted to begin set building for some time. I really love early Bowman and have always wanted to start there and so I recently picked up some 52 Bowman PSA slabs to begin a PSA set build. In addition, I am looking for some recommendations for another raw set or two to begin building. I am thinking something mid 50's through mid 70's, but not really sure where I want to start. I am looking at EX-NRMT, but not opposed to VG-EX as well. What are your thoughts on a good place to start for someone looking to begin set building a Topps issue in these years? And because every thread needs a card... |
56 Topps has always been a favorite.

I did 1955 Topps, 1965 Topps and 1975 Topps. I would start with the 1965 Topps. It is pretty easy to build. The high numbers aren't too tough. 4 HOF RCs but none are real expensive. I have the top cards graded, but the rest of the set is raw.
