Value of 1963 Dodgers World Champs signed ball with 2 Koufax sigs

A young man and I have been chatting about a 1963 Dodgers ball I purchased about 30 years ago from Rich Altman at a Gloria Rothstein show. The Dodgers were World Champions in 1963, Skowron's only year with the team.

He has been looking for a single signed Sandy Koufax ball in which he signed on the sweetspot during his playing days, and I have told him it is unlikely to exist as the sweetspot was reserved for the managers. I have seen Drysdale and a few others share the sweetspot with Alston, but I have never seen Koufax do so. However, the ball I purchased has no labels and thus 2 sweetspots, and Alston has signed one, and Koufax has signed the other. In addition, there is a second Koufax signature at the bottom pf one panel. The ball isn't in bad shape but a few of the signatures have faded from view, even though it has never been in direct light. I have never seen another Koufax signature on the sweetspot that could be verified as having been signed during his playing days, but maybe others have.

All comments and opinions, especially regarding value, would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Rick

I just took spin through the recent listings and sales on eBay, and I found a couple reasonable comps, along with a few crazy asking prices. I would disregard what Showpiece Sports is asking for similar balls — their prices are off the charts. One seller has a '64 ball for $440, and another has a '66 ball for $650. Keep in mind that these are retail prices— I suspect they'd each sell for $100-$200 less in an auction.

WS Championship ball with (2) period Koufax autographs has decent value. I think the Alston may be a clubhouse but I would still value the ball at $600 or so. If the Alston is legit, closer to a grand IMO.

Thanks for your comments. Buyer and I arrived at a price, and he is very happy with his purchase.
