Drew Bledsoe Collection
I know, wrong Patriots qb but, I bought a collection of 336 Drew Bledsoe cards today. All RCs or in a Patriots uniform. Crazy? Yes. $10, maybe not so crazy. :D

That's awesome. I was a huge fan of his back in the day. For $10 I would have been all over that.

He had tremendous talent, but IMO did not really fulfill it. Developed some very bad habits like throwing into traffic and throwing off his back foot, that really held him back. This card was big in the day.

As a professional Drew Bledsoe started 193 games, passed for 44,611 yards and threw 251 touchdown passes. I remember him as being a very strong quarterback.

Drew Bledsoe is a big name in Eastern WA, among Cougar alumni. He even owns a winery in Walla Walla. Nice pick up for $10.

Bledsoooo cool!
Wow, what a find. I've always loved Bledsoe's story,
he'll always be one of my favorites. Glad I found some other big fans. Hell of a player and hell of a find by you! 10 bucks is steal! |
Drew doesn't get any credit but he helped bring the Pats back to respectability after some horrid years preceding his arrival. He led them to a SB, and then had that awful game in Pittsburgh the following year when the Pats had a great defense and lost that 7-6 playoff game. The year after that he played with a broken finger late in the year and got the team in the playoffs.
He did suffer from happy feet later in his career and probably just got tired of being hit so hard. But by all accounts a solid citizen who had some good years but fell short of true greatness. |
Love it. I will make buys like that from time to time and have never lost money.

Have this Drew Bledsoe uncut sheet when he played at Washington State prior to his NFL debut.

Bledsoe is a pretty underrated QB honestly and was always considered one of the better QB’s in the league but rarely “THE BEST”
There are a lot of guys that tend to fall into that category some of which had their careers cut short/ended (guys like Andrew Luck) but guys that seem like comparable players are Carson Palmer, Boomer Esiason, Dan Fouts, and maybe Kirk Cousins. The unfortunate thing for Bledsoe is the “Brady Effect” where people seem to remember him as the guy that couldn’t get it done while Brady did. Really unfortunate actually. |
