Because the wobbly black background and seemingly edit lines around those cards are very tell-tale signs of photoshop editing. The left side particularly and the upper right corner of the top left Mantle looks to have a sharp edit cut poking into the Gwynn. Also as pointed out, there is a possible 2 million dollar hoard of Mantles sitting on a lineup of slabs that might get 10-20 dollars each on a good day. This would not be at the same table at a show, these background slabs would be in a discount box to flip through.
I believe no-one is suspect of Rich, I know I am not. We are being protective of him just in case this person is misrepresenting.
Years ago I was excited by a possible purchase and posted about it. There were some issues with the situation I missed. The replies saved me a costly mistake on a badly identified TPG grading error. It's all meant in caring to help others.
We could all be morons and Rich has held all these cards or the collector is on a really impressive Mantle buying spree this year and all is well. I still would be remiss if I didn't protect a long-time board member with a little extra caution.
I hope you take this as presented in a good way Rich, I know we have had good chats my friend. :)
