Where are the vintage 'NATTY' recaps??
Plugging away through Youtube trying to find decent recaps of the vintage aspect of The National is a thankless task. I DON'T WANT TO SEE SELF-INVOLVED MODERN COLLECTORS WITH THEIR STUPID SCREEN NAMES ENTHUSIASTICALLY SPEAKING A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE, WHAT I CALL REFRACTORNESE, I want to see nice vintage walkthroughs.
• Here's one I ran across that lasts for 29 minutes and is pretty decent. Not much chatter... https://www.bing.com/videos/search?&...SC4&ajaxhist=0 Please post links here if you are similarly frustrated and have found good videos for everyone to watch. |
If you go to YouTube, you can see a few long videos taken by guys walking around giving the viewer a general aisle by aisle overview of the show floor. The reason you don't see much vintage cards is because there's isn't much, at least what you and most of the Net54 members are looking for. Since the pandemic, the National is different. It's a lot of shiny stuff.
Sometimes you just gotta ask, "Where the ______" are the vintage cards ? :D |

Ummm...isn't that the exact same video I posted????

Sorry, I did not even see your link.

I was in the LCS last week and a customer had just broken a box of MMA? (or some type of fighting) cards. He and the owner were talking some type of language that I barely recognized. If you would have asked me for a recap of their discussion, I'd have come up empty.

It wasn't at the National, but I saw a YouTube video where a guy traded a 1956 Topps Jackie Robinson PSA 2.5 and a Tatum rookie Panini basketball card for a Tua Tagovailoa 2020 Immaculate card. I can't imagine trading a Jackie Robinson card for a modern football card.
