Figuring a comp price on a rarity??

..Hello , thanks in advance : How much should be an asking " B I N " price of a scarce item .? where there are no previous comparables to judge by ?. The grade is the big question , the card itself goes for 4 figures even as poor-fair-good-barely good. ?? My card in question is a PSA 6 .Thanks http://imagehost.vendio.com/a/204295...IOPSA6_NEW.JPG

An SGC 6 sold by REA in October of 2021 for $8,100:

So that may be close to what you want to post as your BIN

Surprised on that SGC 8 price. I was going to guess this card would sell for between $2,500 and $3,000. Early DiMaggio but not a popular set or great image. I would pay more for the McCarthy / DiMaggio card.

Sorry it was an SGC 6 sold be REA for $8,100 that I linked to, not an 8. So yeah, that's a lot of money

October 2021 was a very hot market.

That was the top of the market and with all the new money coming in from NFT's, Crypto, etc

That is more a spike or outlier.

Nice piece Good luck with it

I have a few rarities like that and am always worried I will list them at an AH and the half dozen people in the world who are willing to pay up for it aren’t paying attention and I lose it for a stupid price. Big fear.

;;.. I may wait out the end of The National , for a report of pre-war prices. E-Bay is a non-starter for 4-figure cards until they can provide protection for the seller of pricey items , , so REA may wind up with it. Thanks for all the replies , guys.
