1949 Cardinals Team Ball
I have a 1948 or 1949 SL Cardinals signed team ball, all signatures are clear, legible, and original, but the ball itself has some brown toning. I can say that signatures are absolutely authentic, in no way a clubhouse ball, because it came directly from Del Rice who was my first cousin. I am thinking about selling it, but I have no idea as to what it might be worth. Just would like to get a guess as to a range of how much it might sell for. No pictures at present, will take some and attach later. Following are the signatures on the ball. Any information or advice is appreciated.
Stan Musial (HOF) Chuck Diering Hal Rice Enos Slaughter (HOF) Gerry Staley Joe Garagiola Ed Kazak Lou Klein Al Schoendienst (HOF) Nippy Jones Ted Wilks George Munger Tom Glaviano Glenn (Rocky) Nelson Marty Marion Bill Reeder Al Brazle Ron Northey Del Rice Eddie Dyer Howard Pollet Harry Brecheen Terry Moore Fred Martin See pictures in entry below |
Steiner has a 1949 team ball for close to $900.

It being steiner, you can cut your asking price in half.

My SLC team ball appears to be in approximately the same condition (or perhaps a little better) as the Steiner ball shown. So would $500 be a reasonable pricing for mine?

Honestly, if you could get $250, take it.

If there are a handful of people, who collectively are missing the Ford Frick National league 1949 ball, you might get $500. I agree with the other poster $250-$300.
