My Desire for all Pre War Red-Sox
4 Attachment(s)
New to this site but have been following for a while. Love the community here. I got into pre war cards around the beginning of the pandemic and first fell in love with T206. Knowing how "monstrous" it was, i decided to stick to Red Sox only players as I grew up and still live in the greater Boston area. At first i grabbed whatever I could, but then got quickly fascinated by the different back types. Soon i decided on a Red Sox set with all different backs that proved quite difficult. It took close to three years but i finally completed it with Tris Speaker being my last get, with a Polar Bear back (not an easy find). I have several more sets that I'm working on and excited to share my progress with this community. All the Best! D-Hutch

Welcome Dan, great idea for a team/back run, congrats on closing it out with that fantastic PB Speaker.

Congrats on finishing a great subset! What’s next for you?
Looks fantastic- agree on the PB Speaker, amazing card! |
Welcome to Fantasy Island, Dan.
That's a really cool way to collect a team set. Doug |
Welcome from another Boston-area pre-war Sox collector!
Do you have any other non-T206 or any Red Sox memorabilia from the era? |
nice
Very nice finishing card..... not just a beater common back! Great Grand Finale!!

Many. will continue to post T205, Cracker Jack, Goudey, etc.

Very nice achievement. I to have all the T205/T206 Red Sox. Fantastic set to collect.

Welcome! I started as a pre-war Boston collector before expanding to other teams/players. Some of the Boston caramel issues are great also if you are interested in grabbing some type cards. That's a really great team set you put together, my favorite is the Cycle Carrigan.
