Picked up a Wagner 20 years ago.

I was lucky enough to pick up a 1910 E90-2 Wagner card about 20 years ago when my focus was collecting HOF's from their playing days, back when the average person could afford them! A little over 2 years ago I decided to try to collect and finish the E90-2 set. I was able to grab 4 of them from one of the auction houses and thought this would go pretty quickly. Well, I was wrong. I constantly searched auction sites, eBay, and even posted in the BST on Net 54 looking for them. They would sporadically show up. I missed a few along the way but picked up the last card to complete the set about a week ago. Just wanted to share a picture of all of them together.
Thanks for looking. Jeff |
Congratulations - that is an awesome set!

Sincere congrats, from likely the only person with a complete e104-2 set (same cards and super tough!)

Congrats on closing it out Jeff.

E90-2
Congrats! Nice set!

You did it the smart way by picking up the Wagner first (two decades ago). The price on them is not collector friendly now. Nice looking collection.
Which one was the elusive last one to polish off the set? Brian |
Congratulations Jeff!
I did the same thing; picked up the Wagner 20 years ago. Then about four years ago, I began looking for the rest of the set. I still need the three cards in my signature line to finish the set. Steve |
Nice! Who was the last E90-2 Pirate to join?
The lesson here is getting the tough card first, for E90-2 that's Mr. Wagner. And congratulations on staying the course for 20 years. Nice picture. |
Congrats! Awesome to finish a set, especially one so difficult. Enjoy it,
|
Thank You for all the nice comments. The Maddox was the last card I picked up. As all of you well know when you only have 1 card left it seems to take forever to find one.

Actually, mine are all PSA 1-2 / SGC 20-30. My Wagner is a PSA 2; when I bought it in 2003, it was a GAI 2.5. Steve |
