1884 Jumbos vs Skeletons Exhibition Baseball Game Ticket and History

This is currently in auction ending shortly. And I'm just having warning bells in my head go off. It is still quite cheap. For 1884 and being a larger item how is it so nice? Is this a known fantasy piece?
It is cool but I just don't feel 100% about it's authenticity. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...0d266f91b4.jpg

Quick opinions needed 1884 Jumbos vs Skeletons Exhibition Baseball Game Ticket?

I am 99.9% certain after researching and talking with folks this is genuine. I should’ve known with how high quality the printing looked. Super happy to win it.
Now just need to handle it to be 100% certain.

Sorry I'm spamming a bit. Found this really cool newspaper ad thanks to John Thorn as well. Kinda turning this thread into a history lesson for myself and anyone who might think this is cool. It's funny to me those weights are listed as jumbo. Today those are not very crazy at all, would probably take 500 to bring folks to that game these days.

Thanks very much Jay!
Unfortunately the score to my knowledge, is lost to time.
However, I have searched papers from around the same time and do see mentions and use of the word Jumbos a few years later. Usually referencing a player from the team joining a more established and organized club. But I cannot say the same about the skeletons, the only reference I've ever seen of them is that game.

So I'm going to say based on the fact several of the players are referenced later from the Jumbos joining more 'serious' clubs, they probably had a more skilled team. And likely won the match against the Skeletons.

Cool item. No doubt it's real. In the old days the Fats and Leans used to play ballgames too. Large scans on purpose...

There were several different names for these games. The earliest I have is from 1875 of the Flesh and Bones teams from 1875.

Wow, superb images shared by Leon and Clint!

I thought 1884 was early... 1875!? That's unreal.

Thanks Lucas, you got a great find there! It would be neat to find a photo of that game and teams.

That would definitely be incredible! Gotta be a postcard at least.
