Opinions on this Newspaper Auto? Edit: Fake

Hey, everyone. I took a small flyer on this as part of a lot, and was wondering if it was authentic. Any help is appreciated.

This is definitely newspaper. The inscription/signature looks similar to other things I've seen him sign, and there are thicker/thinner spots of ink. Last photo is the same black light - contrasting paper with the matting.

Hard to be sure on the Turkey Red but it could be authentic based on your pictures. No guarantee though.

The autograph IMO is not authentic. Others will chime in.

I managed to disassemble the frame. You are totally right. Good eye.

The backside of the paper mentions Mantle and Maris home runs 'last year.' So, the paper is from late 1961 or 1962... and Cobb was dead by then.

I was assuming the auto was fake. The card seems good to me though

That is one reason the forgeries are framed if there is a dead give away on the reverse that it cannot be authentic. But this one was pretty clearly "not authentic" from the signature.

That's why I want to avoid autographs. I don't trust them at all.
