1979 Hostess L-shaped panels
 

I have recently seen multiple L- shaped panels from the 1979 Hostess set. Does anyone know if all panels were made in this format or just some of them? I know different boxes are available from different sources of snack cakes but I didn’t know if the whole set was made in a L shape nor what box the L shaped panels came from.

Only select panels are shaped like that. I've only collected the 1976 version but only 22 of the 50 panels can be found that way.

I don't personally know the number for the 1979 set as I only have four of those.

TCDB has a checklist, no idea if this is 100% complete.

As for what item they came on, I would only logically believe that the L-shaped were on east coast cupcakes just like the 76' and 78' releases. I did a quick google and can't find a picture to prove that, perhaps someone in the forum has a box or a photo. Wish I could help more, I know there are a few people that very much collect all the Hostess sets on the site that will likely chime in.
