Question: Name the youngest players to hit 40, 50 and 60 Home Runs in a season.
Looking for three different people.

40- Mel Ott hit 42 in 1929 at age 20

50- Willie Mays hit 51? in 1954? at age 23? (correction, 1955 at age 24)

60- Babe Ruth hit 54 in 1920 at age 25

I gotta think Roger is the youngest to hit 60?

40 Is Mel Ott, he was up starting from a very young age.

50 is Prince Fielder, I remember when this happened, truly thought that if he was able to stay healthy, he would be a great power hitter, for a very long time.

60, I would assume is Maris. I know Ruth came close to holding this record though as he hit 59 around his age 25 or 26 season.

Mel Ott was the youngest to hit 40 Home Runs, and did so at the age of 20 in 1929.

Five players reached 50 Home Runs at the the age 24: 1) Jimmie Foxx came the closet to 60 when he hit 58 in 1932 2) Ralph Kiner hit 51 in 1947 3) Willie Mays hit 51 in 1955 4) Mickey Mantle hit 52 in 1956 5) Pete Alonso hit 53 in 2019.

Roger Maris was the youngest to reach 60 Home Runs when het hit 61 at age 26 in 1961.
The next youngest was Sammy Sosa, who hit 66 at age 29 in 1998.
