Hello. I submitted this to JSA and it came back as unsure. Welcome your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard Tony! FYI, Tony is a good guy — not a scammer. We know each other from a Facebook group and we’re both up in the air about this auto (and I’m not 100% on the card itself, but Post cards aren’t my area of expertise)

I don't for sure, but I think maybe it's the felt tip marker that caused a little concern. With some of the higher value auto's, they want to be 100% sure.

Regardless, it's a nice card. Jim

Chris - thank you very much for your vouch! This remains a mystery?

Thanks Jim. If it were you - what, if anything, would you do next?

I wouldn't want to own it.

Submit to Beckett and sell if it comes back okay.

I don't like it either. It looks labored and the letters seem smushed. I would pass if it was offered to me.

Seems rushed, the R on Rodger is leaning TOO much

Good morning. I have a Roberto Clemente that I submitted years ago that came back the same way. I just kept it as I enjoyed the card. Picture attached.

If there's any silver lining, you both received credits/refunds for your submissions. Those would both have been easy fails if I was manning the helm.

Billy, maybe so. I still think it is authentic, because I bought a group of items at auction from HOF Bill McKechnie's grandson. McKechnie was of course a former player and manager of the Pirates and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1962. All other items were authentic and included; a 1974 letter from Hank Aaron, a 1989 hand written letter from Ernie Banks, a card from Frank Fritch, several Pirate pens from the 50's and a few other items. All of those were authentic, which leads me to believe the Clemente is authentic also.

I guess I'm lucky you're not an authenticator!
