Tuesday Trivia: Home Runs by Handedness
Most people know that Hank Aaron has the most Home Runs ever by someone who bats right and throws right, and Barry Bonds the most Home Runs by someone that bats left and throws left.
Q: Who has the most home runs by someone that: 1) Batted Left and threw Right? 2) Batted Both, threw Right? 3) Batted Right, threw Left? 4) Batted Both, threw Left? |
2 has to be Mantle. 1, Williams?

Quote:
Ted Williams has the second most Home Runs for a player that batted left and threw right. A great guess. |
Oh OK I know who it is but I'll let someone else get it, always forget about him lol.
The others, no clue. 3 is going to be obscure is my guess. |
For #3 I nominate Rickey Henderson
For #4 I nominate Lance Berkman. |
Quote:
Rickey Henderson has the most Home Runs of any that batted Right and threw Left at 297. Lance Berkman has the most Home Runs of any switch hitter that threw Left at 366. Well done! Only one left is the player with most Home Runs that batted Left and threw Right. |
Unless I'm missing someone, I think the missing individual is Jim Thome.
