Hey Rob, how were you able to find the Lite Beer Mike Scott card? I'm looking for Kevin Bass in that set.

I did find one (actually three) - I’ll ask the person that sold it to me if he has the Kevin Bass card. I’d expect if to be much less expensive than the Ryan or Scott.
The conditions of the three that I acquired varied from Good to Excellent. Since these were stadium giveaways they are harder to find as a complete NM unopened set. The only documentation that I’ve been able to located for this set is in Baseball Cards Magazine - December 1986 issue - page 26. The set check-list is correct on TCDB. There is currently an autographed Jose Cruz and Jim Dehsaies on eBay. The Jose Cruz (along with Ryan, Scott and Bass) are the toughest cards to find in the set. This is was is in Baseball Cards Magazine - along with a B/W picture of the front of the Ryan card. “ Lite Beer Astros A giant-sized set of cards featuring members of the Houston Astros has been issued. The set (see Nolan Ryan card above) was sponsored by Lite Beer and features cards in a 4½" x 6¾" size. The cards have full-color photos and thick white borders. The 22-card set was given away as part of a special promotion at the Houston Astro-dome. “ Rob |
Rob, thank you for the info and quickly responding!
Please reach out to the person who sold the Lite Beer card to you about Kevin Bass. Attending my first baseball game in August 1987 Bass had a couple of hits and became one of my favorite players. Last year I started collecting his cards. I have 277 of the 305 cards TCDB lists. 1986 Lite Beer is one of the older ones I'm still searching for, along with 1985, 1987, 1988 and 1994 Astros photos. Of the new stuff, I'm missing several 2017 Rediscover Topps colors. I'm enjoying collecting cards for the first time since 1993! trevor Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk |
