Anyone know “DC Sports87” on ebay?

Wondering if anyone here has any experience buying from “DC Sports87” on ebay?

I am looking at an auction of theirs and they surely look like a high volume seller but they also have more negative comments than I am used to seeing.

Any advice from the N54 crowd?

Thx!

Jeff

I thought they were someone else as I didn’t check before posting. Never did business with them.

They get a bunch of modern consignments and I've won some auctions with no problems.

Am not a fan. DCSports287 listed for sale a Joe Jackson card on ebay that was literally a picture of card straight out of a Heritage catalogue that Ryan Hotchkiss has owned for several years. There was a thread about it:

After reading that thread again, and the fact they don't have a good registration on file, salvadorjcasillas is banned.

My personal experience is if you do run into an issue with your order their communication is non existent after multiple messaging attempts. All my other orders were fine with them; just one bad one.

Is that the Net54 handle for the DC sports 87 group on ebay?

The card I am looking at is only a $400-500 card so not a huge risk - but still…

bought some cheap modern cards from them over a year ago. dont remember any issues.

Never had an issue personally with many purchases. However, my caveats are that I have never made any purchases with them over 150.00 and most were modern rookies I wanted of local teams. I also understand the volume and size or their production, which does mean I take a personal risk as the feedback proves.

I know that was wishy washy as hell, lol. How about I am not going to buy a green Cobb from them, but a 2020 Riley Greene rookie...sure.

Apparently so. That user doesn't have a registration on file anyway, so them being shown the door is adhering to that policy, if nothing else.

Very hasslefree seller. Does a ton of volume--mostly for ultramodern.

I love buying off them because their pictures are awful and I think that results in the ending prices being lower. I wouldn't consign with them unless you need the volume, although I've never consigned with them myself.

I have purchased 15 or more cards from them over the last year, and things always went well for me.

Their negative feedback, although a seemingly high number isn't that bad considering the number of transactions they do. Over the last month there negative feedback has been about 1 per 750.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again, and am thinking of consigning some cards to them if I ever find the time to dig them out.

Just to close the loop since I started and asked about DC sports 87 on e-bay… I can report that they were really responsive to my questions, even on the last day of the auction.

And I thankfully won this beauty to add to my HOF collection - they were great to work with…

All good!

Jeff
