Attention Cracker Jack Collectors, Historians and Enthusiasts - Help Needed
I wanted to share with everyone a project I've been working on and also have a request.
I have already corresponded with a handful of members in this community for help, and the response has been positive. Over the past seven months, I've been researching and writing a manuscript about Cracker Jack, specifically its long history with baseball. Earlier this week, I completed the manuscript. It's my humble opinion that this project will be the most complete examination of this confectioner's ties to America's Pastime written to date. Currently ninety pages in length, I am now in the process of compiling corresponding photos for illustration purposes; this is where I need help. I am seeking unique Cracker Jack images, especially those relating to baseball; these may include: -Autographed 1914 or 1915 Cracker Jack baseball cards -Cracker Jack advertisement pieces with baseball content -Original Cracker Jack boxes -Other Cracker Jack-related items, such as early Cracker Jack factory photos or company documents I will be providing full credit for any photo used. If anyone is willing to help, please email me at star6240@att.net your high-resolution image(s) with a name I should give credit to for usage. I will distribute a limited number of special "thank yous," to those whose item(s) I use. There is still much work before completion, including constructing a corresponding website, but I intend to publish this manuscript in book form, probably in early 2024. Thank you in advance for your participation, Erik |
Sounds great.
Autographed CJ. In my dreams maybe. |
I don't have anything to help you, but I look forward to buying your book.

Not sure if you can use this image but I have a side panel to a 1912-1922 era Cracker Jack shipping carton.

If you haven't already, you should check out this book, from a decade ago:

Sounds like a great project, sadly don’t have anything odd to add.

Paul (t206 collector in thr boards here) likely has a link to some photos of signed examples on his page. I've owned a Wood and Marquard, but they are extremely rare
