Trivia Question
Just stumbled across something really freaking cool.
NO EFFIN' CHEATING!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who was the FIRST...not THE ONLY, no, no, no, 'just' the FIRST...and who knows, there may be even more of them out there...major leaguer to hit a home run as a member of more than 10 different teams? |
My guess would be Matt Stairs, he played for a lot of teams and was a power hitter.
|
Sheffield? Seemed like he played for every team there was.
|
Close but not quite for Tommy Davis. Played for 10, homered for nine.
|
Is it someone that should be in the HOF, but isn't (yet)?

Love me some Mets trivia, but are we sure Kenny Lofton didn't do it also?
|
Hint #2:
The reason I 'found' him was because after seeing the homepage thread of "TV episodes with sports stars in them..." I hit his wiki page, because I knew he was on The King of Queens,* but not playing his ballplayer self, just a regular guy. *Don't get me started about how ridiculously Californian the references always were on that show. King of my home borough, Queens???? My ass!!!! More like King of L.A.!!! |
I was going to guess Paul Bako because he caught for nearly every team in the Western hemisphere, one season at a time, but that Mets hint throws me.
|
The Wikipedia page for that player is incorrect, Matt Stairs also homered for eleven different teams.

How frickin' bizarre is this???!!!! It's 1:40 in the AM and I put on 'The King of Queens'...and it happens to be the very one with Todd Zeile in it that I was referring to!!!!! You can't make this stuff up!!!!!!!!!!
What in high hell is going on in the universe???????????? Attachment 570048 |

Oakland Kansas City Philly Toronto Pittsburgh Boston Texas San Diego Chicago Cubs Detroit Milwaukee That's 11 teams. Zeile was first to do it but he's not the only player to homer for 11 teams. |

Darren, time to play the lottery;. |
I love it when one of my trivia answers is ten, and someone here comes up with an answer of eleven. It sort of makes my Elm not so jolly for a while.

The question has been officially updated in the OP.
|
My guess is Bobby Bonds. But I am probably wrong.
