E101 Shean w/ Missing and off-kilter color passes [ON HOLD]
 

Neat card with a couple things "off" about it. Has a mostly yellow sky instead of bright orange, which is typically seen with this card hinting the card missed it's orange color pass or else the "orange" in the printer was running low. Also, the yellow color pass is off-kilter a bit which gives us the neat effect of the caption at the bottom appearing as though someone ran a yellow highlighter over it.

It's also kind of neat that if you can see a strip of pink at the top of the card where there is no orange or yellow print. For me, this is a really neat reminder of why cards sometimes show up with different/unusual-colored backgrounds than what they should have. If the yellow background had not been present at all, instead of being in slightly the wrong spot, we'd have a really cool pink e101 Shean!

One final bit....I've been searching for oddities for well over 15 years and can say that any sort of printing goof is insanely scarce with the e101 and e102 sets.

Nice find !
Actually, maybe missed the magenta pass in 4 color printing (CMYK or Cyan, Magenta, Yellow Black), thus, Magenta + Yellow = Orange.

Nice bit of detective work there, thanks for the response Bill! Color variations sure are neat. Occasionally you see a green card show up blue, which is pretty easy to explain, but once in a great while you see a red card turn up silver or something really challenging to explain. I think you laid that out pretty well :)

The e101 is now on hold as well. The few Oddities I have available are finally starting to come off the board. :) I do still have the e97 McConnell and w572 Doak Ghost cards if anyone is interested.
