Opinion on sportlng Life art cards by Jerrold Andrews ?
 

Good day i dont post often but i found the sporting life art cards on ebay made by Jerrold Andrews. Now i know these cards are shunned upon by many .I had seen these cards years ago and i recall they didnt sell that much on ebay . Now after a few years they have acquired a niche apparently . I always loved the design and idea behind the cards . I checked the completed card search and they rarely go without selling . They sell at a very affordable price and msot cards have many mulitple bidders. any opinions from collectors would be welcomed thanks ..

I would hate to be at the LCS when somebody brings those in, saying they can't find them in any book and what are they worth. You hate to be the one giving out bad news.

To me they're like reprints except that reprints actually look something like a real card. But not everybody collects what I collect. I'm sure there's a market for them.

Agreed they aren’t for most collectors .. but I still think considering the glut of cards most of them the same these cards present something different . They aren’t reprints because he doesn’t strictly copy old cards . In regards to how they look that’s strictly taste and they don’t look like anything out there though true old fashioned. They are kinda cool..... aged artificially .... buy em if you like em, not what Id call an "investment" even by baseball card standards.
