DiMaggio Ball

Seeking help for the following:
I have a friend who obtained a signed Joe DiMaggio ball at a local collectibles store in Dallas back in 1998. She is needing to sell several items including the ball. I took pictures and wondered about the LOA, as it is B&J Collectibles, which from my research can be either good or bad. Ball also was purchased with the LOA (enclosed) and the picture. Looking for any opinions on the ball, as if deemed good, she'd like to take it to the upcoming Dallas Show in Allen, TX on March 10-12 (Hi, Rich!) to get it authenticated by JSA who will be there in person. Thanks for your time, guys (and gals). |
B&J were the worst of the worst. Typical B&J fake.

Agreed. Garbage.

Thanks for the feedback thus far; very much appreciated. So, to help me, how should I convey that the signature is no good; i.e. loops on the "g's," or the "J" in Dimaggio, etc.?
Thanks again! |
For starters, the slowness and shakiness of the letters. That's enough.

Also, the "Gene Budig" balls are very rare for him to have signed, IMHO. Despite having a 3 year period to do so. Here is a good picture of a couple of real ones from that time period. Also, his Name was Joe, Not Jai. Save the poor lady the 100 -150, or whatever JSA is charging these days. |
Chuck and all; thanks, this helps a great deal! You all are fantastic!
