Jay Wolt wow. Those cards are fantastic. The picture on the WaJo is unbelievable.

Am just damned lucky to have a '14 CJ Matty. The provenance is nice too.

Incredible LC cards everyone. This is the Lionel Carter card in my collection. Probably tough to see in the scan, but the top border is trimmed, while the bottom border has fairly pronounced corner rounding. Lionel was definitely a collector after the best condition cards he could get, so I always figured this card was in his trade pile.
If I were to make graded cards a collecting focus, I would be forced to buy a different scanner. Fortunately for my wallet, I do not have a desire to focus on such slabbery, so for the meantime somewhat fuzzy graded card scans are here to stay. Brian |

I won a large block of M116s from REA once upon a time. Here are a few. Sorry for the extra cards shown.

A few from dark(er) side.
Some of Mr. Carter's T207's. He had a great eye.

Great stuff guys, here's a couple more. Interesting to note that Dave's Green Evers is numbered 25 and my Lajoie is numbered 23 which matches the checklist on the back. Two cards that were together at some point in history, maybe numbered by Lionel himself. - |

Once upon a time I had delusions that I'd re-build his '33 Goudey set.
At 38/240 but I haven't added a new one in quite a while. |
Mr. Carter was a kind gentleman, truly a nice man.
And you guys do him honor by sharing those cards. |
my offering of two Lionel Carter cards

These aren't as awesome as the Walter Johnson and Ty Cobb bat off white border cards, nor that Cracker Jack Mathewson, nor the American Caramel Plank, nor the T205 Drum, nor that E106 Cobb, nor that beautiful (to me) Topps standup of Ernie Broglio (whom I saw pitch), nor the Brunner's Bread card of Cy Young, nor that Brown Border card of Lefty George, nor the E94 Crawford and E98 Lajoie, nor even that Ramly Jimmy Collins (a card I've not ever seen)...
I have a couple to show... https://www.net54baseball.com/attach...1&d=1676423538 |
