Federal League Cartoons
 

While playing around with old newspapers looking at the history of the Federal League, I kept coming across sports cartoons created by Claude Martin Gibbs for the Baltimore Sun.

It seems a lot of his cartoons featured an old man named Abe (who reminds me of Uncle Sam), and a duck. Abe is a pessimistic grouch, and the duck is the optimist.
