FT: Hoards of Mantles to Trade for Other Mantles
5 Attachment(s)
Thread title pretty much says it all.
Below are groups of different 1960's Mickey Mantle cards that I have available for trade. My preference would be to get a Mantle card I need (or can use as an upgrade) in return, because no one consistently continues to rise in value like 'The Mick,' but I may entertain other big name HOF'ers (Roberto Clemente, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Sandy Koufax, Jackie Robinson, Ted Williams, etc.) that I need in return for one of these guys. It all depends. If you have any questions or are interested in talking, please give me a shout. Notes: • I need to hold onto at least one of the 'best' of each grouping for my PC. • Nice eye appeal aside, most of the lower grade cards have wrinkle(s) that are barely discernible anymore inside of the protective holders. That's why they got the grades they did. • The 'Authentic' 1968 card is considered miscut. Not miscut as in a piece of another card is showing on it or part of the image is missing, but miscut (whatever the actual definition is) at the factory and put into a pack that way. PSA sent it back 'miscut,' but wouldn't holder it, so I sent it in to SGC to make sure it got slabbed for posterity. It's a very nice card, so it's annoying to only be called 'Authentic.' Ugh. • I haven't put a specific dollar trade value on any of these cards. It's really just a case of determining (assuming I'm interested in the cards being offered) whether or not it'd be a good move to accept a trade proposal. This is literally one of the toughest career-contemporary Mickey Mantle cards you can ever hope to find. It has taken me years to assemble the ones shown.
It is the 1967 Laughlin World Series #61 "With Address" version and you are more likely to find the Ark of the Covenant before running across another one of these (cool hyperbole, yes?). The later printings (that did not include Mr. Laughlin's address on back) can be had here and there, but they are still very pricey and were printed long after 'The Mick' retired. They don't really count, except as reprints. These are tough, tough, tough (to infinity) gets that no one ever offers for trade. Never. Hit me up with any questions. ***UPDATE: Sorry, these Laughlins are no longer (unless it is an extreme exception) available for trade.*** Attachment 575429 Attachment 575430 Attachment 575431 Attachment 575432 Attachment 575433 Pretty, pretty cool. |

Bump it.
Would be especially interested in an upgrade to my 1962 Topps #200 Mickey Mantle. Graded or ungraded could work. |

Once more unto the bump, dear Mantle-collecting friends...

Do you have 1964 Topps #331 A.L. Bombers in PSA 4? I'm building a PSA 4 Mantle set and have been unable to find this specific card (at a reasonable price.)

Mickey Mantle cards are endlessly shown and talked about around here, so surely people have them to trade, no?? |
That’s a whole lotta Mick!

Anyone got the urge to Mickey up a nice Mantle for one of my lovely Micks? |

A new wood-grainy trio to launch out of the park (not exactly sure what that statement is meant to convey, but it's too late now)...
1962 Topps #318 Mickey Mantle "The Switch Hitter Connects" Attachment 655750 Notes: • The image is an amalgamation of different scans. • The PSA 5 was originally a PSA 6 ST that I easily de-gummed and resubmitted, but it only came back a 5. |
