I had purchased a partial 1909 Reach Guide - it turns out in error! For Cubs fans, auction starts at $5 for 1908 Team composite and approx 20 pages of photos, game by game descriptions and stats for the 1908 World Series.

PPFF. Add $5 for postage. Auction ends Wednesday 8pm Eastern

The composite notes team as 1909 but this is an error. See list of players at bottom noted as 1908. Reach did not use these composite photos for 1909 in the 19010 guide

It is not an error; the composite notes that the Cubs were the "champions for 1909". In the early 20th century, the team that won the league pennant or the World Series at the end of one season was typically described as the league or world champions for the next season.
