Help needed on Joe D auto.
Bought this small lot of 3 autographed note cards. No idea if Joe is Good but I thought it looked fine.
Also included are Bill Virdon and Ernie Lombardi if that's of any interest. Would love everybody's input! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d7fbc2d2f4.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...786263e20b.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6ac50d30b4.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b7638933ab.jpg |
Hi Lucas,
As with other players, Joe D.'s autograph morphed through the years. This example does not match either a 1940's exemplar from his days in the military or one that I obtained IP in the late 1970's. I can't be sure, but I would probably vote no... Hopefully others will weigh in. Good luck! |

Any other opinions? And What do you all think about the other two?

I don't know if this will help, but here is a vintage steel tip auto from Joe D., circa 30s early 40s, and a later version.
I'm going to vote good, but one never knows. |
The Joe D. is probably his sister's sig, but I won't swear to it. The Virdon and the Lombardi are both good.

3 Responses 3 different opinions 😆.
Thanks everyone for your help! I think I'll list it as a likely sister auto as they do look pretty close. I know this isn't bst, and I won't be asking a price here but if anyone has any interest in adding to their collection feel free to send a pm. |

Thanks everyone! Not the news I wanted but still didn't pay too much for it.

I received similar feedback a few months ago about this one pictured here (i.e., sister's sign.)... to my eyes, your copy and this have very similar features ("DiM")
