17 Attachment(s)
Gonna group a bunch of balls together in a few postings, hopefully this will be better than many individual ones.
Please comment any opinions on the following signed balls. Much appreciated! Thank you. Mel Ott Eddie Collins Mickey Mantle Willy Mays Dizzy Dean Rogers Hornsby Ted Williams/Joe DiMaggio/Mickey Mantle (Reached max number of attachments, will make another posting...) |
I think they are all bad.

Perhaps Mays is ok? I'm not a Mays aficionado, but doubt a forger would use a cheap vinyl ball.

Who are Dizzy Deay, Milky Mantle and Jce DiMaggie?
|
These are real bad

3 posts and the only one I'm assuming is real is the Musial

Hope you didn't pay to much for those. Did you get those from Coach's Corner?

I don't know anything about Joe Dimaggio Enterprises. But the Mickey Mantle auto is the only one you show with a COA after multiple threads. That might be worth exploring. Perhaps another member can inform us if it is a Coach's Corner fabrication.
From my knowledge, these stickers weren't highly used when Mantle passed away. However, they were on the rise in popularity. Upper Deck started using them in the early 1990s. I've been told that the best way to get an authentic Mantle auto is to buy one with the UD Authenticated sticker. Because this auto is not UD Authenticated, I would still be hesitant about its authenticity. |
Joe Dimaggio Enterprises is garbage.

A joke really

Looks like Dean, Hornsby and Collins all signed on the same day with the same pen! What a find!

A bunch of fake junk
Mantle HOF is really pathetic. Ott, Collins, hornsby, and others, I echo. Signed by same forger |
Please make it stop...

Hi everyone, sorry for subjecting you all to the many fake balls I posted. I am very new to the baseball collecting world, I acquired the collection from a sibling who passed away this year. After researching and learning what I could on my own, what started as hopes of a nice collection turned into suspicions that there could be fakes, then disgust as I read about the level of fraud in this hobby. Sadly, looks like he was duped many times and taken advantage of. Appreciate all the replies and the certainty that most are indeed fake. I can move on from those without investing anymore time and not be wondering "what if" down the road. So for that I thank you all!
