Incredible! 👀

Wow, they look nice in a group. While I would never turn down an N172, I have also never pursued them. But seeing those grouped together in the SGC frames... it is a fine sight. Well done.

Jeez Louise. Perhaps my favorite post of the year coming in here at the last minute. Amazing collection.
|
Wow. What a run!

Stunning to see them all grouped together like that.

Great run !!
I immediately wanted to see how you handled Deacon White . . . Nicely done !! Congratulations! |
Great run, Keith! As Joe implied, Deacon White is the key to the run and your copy is beautiful.
|
That's an awesome accomplishment!
Nicely done! |
Very impressive and thanks for sharing. Museum Quality right there!
I’m happy with my lone n172 Connor! |
Absolutely beautiful. I'm curious how long it took you to find a Harry Wright with a nice image.

Congrats. Nicely done. I am doing this subset also, but only 75 percent complete. What a fun project.
|
Congratulations! A truly beautiful sight. Agreed that it looks fit for a museum. I could volunteer my living room...

quite a good looking run, congrats

To the OP - A few questions about the quest -
Which HOF was your first? Which HOF was your last? During the search, which were the five toughest players to locate? That's a nice run of HOF N172s! |
Mickey Welch was my first. Harry Wright was the last.
Top 5 difficult: Deacon White Harry Wright Bid McPhee Amos Rusie Kid Nichols |

What surprises me is that the McPhee is listed as one of the toughest HOFers to obtain yet I've seen many for auction in the past few years. Perhaps people were cashing in on the perceived "rarity" of the card. I've seen far fewer White, Rusie's, Hamilton's or even Hanlon's in the past few years than McPhee cards.
Perhaps all the McPhee's are now in permanent collections and they'll be more difficult to come by as I've seen less and less HOF OJs being put up for auction. That is one heck of an accomplishment - congratulations! |

Impressive. I like the idea of a HOF run!

Very nice. Great accomplishment! 28 seems doable and manageable, but damn there are some toughies in there!!
