FS: Very Rare 1907 FP Burke Frank Chance & Mascot PC

Just two have been graded by PSA and SGC combined, none higher. Very rare image of Frank Chance and an actual bear cub. I've never seen another for sale. $1850 delivered. Email or PM if interested.

Can you read the team name on the other end of that 7-1 score?

Not sure if this link will work, but this might be it.

Not easy to decipher but it looks to read "Kenosha" or "Kenoshas" which might refer to the sender's town as seen in the postmark. Why is another question. The score matches up with the Cubs-Tigers game six days earlier in Terre Haute. Go figure.

And the Mordecai Brown Terre Haute service station mentioned in the article.

Here are a couple of images of the service station, one with Brown servicing an automobile and the other showing his name on the building. I do not own these photographs.

The Cubs defeated the Kenosha Lake Shore baseball team by the same 7-1 score on Wednesday, October 21st, according to the next day's edition of the Kenosha Evening News. Germany Schaeffer played for the Cubs in center field and second base, trading positions during the game with Artie Hofman. Chick Fraser, Mordecai Brown, and Orval Overall pitched for Chicago. Joe Tinker had four hits, the same total as the entire Kenosha team.

This other graded example of this postcard, which is in an SGC 3 holder, just sold in REA for $1920 plus tax.
