I'm looking for a 1909 Obak Howard (Los Angeles), without the frame on the back.

You're in luck, kind of. I just finished a player set of the 1909 Obaks and have some dupes, amongst them a raw Howard with no frame. It's in poor condition, darkened by time and stained by something, maybe a kid's science project a hundred years ago. Otherwise would fill the puka adequately until a better copy appears. No charge. Happy to help you out. I'll post some scans tomorrow.
