Looks good from afar.
Maybe post this over on the memorabilia forum, or perhaps this thread will get moved over there, where it will most certainly receive more attention. |

The card looks legit from the scan, consistent with the few GMs I used to own, of which this is the last remaining: https://photos.imageevent.com/imover...GmCochrane.jpg |

Looks fine to me.

Either real or an incredibly good fake.

Either real or an incredibly good fake, IMHO.

Looks like the two I’ve had. I don’t remember seeing any good fakes of these. They aren’t too expensive, it probably isn’t worth the trouble to make a good fake. It might be a little challenging too, the gloss on those is interesting.
It is a great set. The only pre-war set I’ve put together. Packed with HOFers and other notables. Harder to find these days than ten years ago, when they were just regular hard to find. It took me 8 years to find and get good clean ones. But it seems like a full set is available from time to time in the various auction houses. I made a thread a while back that pulled together information from the GMF collectors around here (much of it from Tim’s OC article). I haven’t updated it in a little while, hopefully the photos still load. https://www.net54baseball.com/showth...ld+medal+foods |

The paper that Gold Medal 's were printed on has a specific feel to them. Holding 2 will give you an answer.

I hear echos from me saying this a few dozen times here...
Illuminate the back of that with a uv light, see if the paper fluoresces. If you see purple, its not from the 1930s. Have you tried a black light, a uv light on it??? |
