1906 Sporting Life Postcards:
https://oldcardboard.com/pc/1906-com...?cardsetID=937 And a checklist: https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid...ites-Postcards I've never owned one and don't follow these, but I think they are pretty tough. |
These are extremely rare. I've had my eye out for a White Sox one of these for more than a decade and have never even seen one (for any team) up for sale.

Hi Gary - These postcards are very scarce. My gut tells me that around 10 of each team exist. Unlike the large sized W601 premiums, The Sporting Life only issued these postcards for a single season. As you know the postcards have the same images as the W601 premiums from the same year.
Even though these postcards show images of the 1906 teams, I am not sure when they were first issued. The earliest advertising that I can find for these postcards is in the April 13, 1907 issue of The Sporting Life, which coincided with the beginning of the baseball season in 1907. Here is the ad that was on page 18 of their April 13, 1907 newspaper: |
