As a collector of Pre WWI players/cards, I love this team. They had so many great players and a number of special issues applicable only to this franchise, such as 1906 Lincoln Publishing, E104-1, T208 Cullivan's Fireside, and D359 Rochester-Williams Baking. From Wikipedia:

"In the early years, the A's established themselves as one of the dominant teams in the new league, winning the A.L. pennant six times (1902, 1905, 1910, 1911, 1913, and 1914), and winning the World Series in 1910, 1911, and 1913.[3] They won over 100 games in 1910 and 1911, and 99 games in 1914. The team was known for its "$100,000 Infield", consisting of Stuffy McInnis (first base), Eddie Collins (second base), Jack Barry (shortstop), and Frank "Home Run" Baker (third base) as well as pitchers Eddie Plank and Chief Bender. Rube Waddell was also a major pitching star for the A's in the early 1900s. According to Lamont Buchanan in The World Series and Highlights of Baseball, the A's fans were fond of chanting, "If Eddie Plank doesn't make you lose / We have Waddell and Bender all ready to use!" Plank holds the franchise record for career victories, with 284."

Lets see some Athletics

Great cards! I don't have any cards, but I do have a team autographed baseball from the 1929 World Champion Athletics signed by Foxx, Eddie Collins, etc. Does that count?

From a foldout team set of postcards. I got this a few years ago and can't find my scans, so this came from the Heritage archives and is not all of the players:

Ryan, I'm sure you meant to identify the ACC # for the Cullivan's Fireside cards as being T208. I'll try to remember to add a pic of my T208 of Topsy Hartsel to this thread when I return home next week, if no one else has showed a T208 card by then.

I am still looking into this doing research. It was believed to be hanging somewhere in Shibe Park. You can see others in the background in this picture when the team was packing up and moving ready to leave for Kansas City. The Plank name on the bottom is hand painted and you can see one of the others in this picture has the same lettering.

"Topsy" Hartsel played for the Athletics from 1902 - 1911 and was their regular left fielder from 1902 - 1908. He led MLB in walks in 1905, 1907 and 1908, and he led the A.L. in walks in 1902 and 1906.

A few of My A's items. One of my favorite things about the A's of this time frame is the matchups vs the Giants.
Here is a 1906 A' scorecard 1905 Postcard with an October 10th 1905 Postmark. 1904 W601, and a 1913 World series Ad (11x13).

Bob love the Early Elephant items. Is the cast Iron Elephant a door stop or a paperweight? Either way love it.
