60's Topps BB Sets
 

I have been slowly working on 1962-1968 Topps Baseball sets. Early this year I realized that unless I purchased some of the big name cards I would never complete my goal. I focused on selling some items and purchasing a 1963 Rose, 1967 Seaver, and 1968 Ryan. With the year almost over I still lack the Rose card. The Ryan and Seaver I picked up are not PSA 10s, let alone PSA 5s, but will fit nicely in my VG-EX sets.

Just curious, why no 61 and 69 ?

I finished the 69 set years ago and finished the 61 set last summer. I realize I'll never have the $$$ to complete all the Topps BB set so I thought 1961 was a good stopping point. 1 for each year I've been around.

The 1960 set is still in the 60's...:) I think it's a great transition set from the 50's to 60's actually...especially the backs, they still scream 50s. The 1960 Topps set is one of the most reasonable to put together in that decade too...high numbers aren't so bad and the Yaz & McCovey rookies are still very affordable for the players they were...
