FYI NSCC News
According to a twitter post:
NSCC dealers who are not open at 3 PM on Sunday of the NSCC will lose 5 priority points for leaving early. As a customer, I'm totally in favor of this. Sundays are so frustrating to be at the NSCC as a customer As a dealer who at that point is at the final stages of the endurance contest which is approaching a week long all I want to do is get out of dodge. In addition, if I work then time off schedules need to be adjusted, traveling needs to be adjusted and there might not be ways to leave for another day just adding more costs Regards Rich |
I solved that problem Rich. Just quit doing any shows farther from home than I can drive in 4 hours. 20 nationals were enough for me. Most of the small shows have more reasonable promoters. Sunday was always a relief after all the days of steady dealing. I really don't ever remember being closed for business before 4 though.

man I'm hoping for a ton of violations and that they have the courage to stick to their guns. Look forward to rocketing up the priority points list! :D
|
Haven't attended a show in a number of years, but I LOVED the last day, just when sellers began packing up. DEAL TIME! I distinctly remember getting my 1958 Mantle for $75 after initially being told to get lost. He didn't have to sell it to me, but he did. I feel that it never hurts to ask, and if turned down, ask again. All they can say is no.

Can’t wait to hear dealers complain
I do agree though. Many roll up shop by Saturday evening. |
As someone who sets up at the National only, I usually leave on Saturday but I don't really mind the idea of staying through Sunday.
I would be surprised if they enforce that rule - wasn't something like that already in place? |
How about Charge more for Dealers who want to leave early on Sunday or Saturday Night ?
|
Yes, it's been in place for a few years now.
|
IT will be interesting to see the end result.
From a person paying and attending the show it is good for them. As said earlier for a dealer not so much from long week and travel. But from the dealer they paid their spot and can do what they will with it. PErhaps many stay perhaps they sub it out as many do and they require the sub to stay. New Drama potentially brewing |
They should implement a new rule that says if you don't have any cards from prior to 2020 then you lose 50 priority points, and if you don't have any prior to 1980 then you lose 25 points, and nothing prior to 1960 loses you 15 points.
That'll fix em :) |
I dont think this is a new policy. Maybe they are going to enforce it?
