Picked up a number of boxes recently...they arrived today. Now I've gotta find a place to display them.
If anyone has a nice Don Hoak Nokona glove they want to sell please get in touch. |
I recently picked up this incredibly well preserved Red Sox cap circa 1950 from the family of a former part-time scout. He briefly played with a low level Sox team in the minors, enlisted in WW2 and I believe did regional scouting for them after the War. I’ve been looking for a game used (or in this case team issued) cap from the era for awhile to display and this one fell into my lap.

I collect scored Sandy Koufax programs from regular & post season, and All Star appearances. Wins, losses, saves, no decisions. I have 267 of his 409 games. This is the most recent pickup.
It's a no decision from Sept 1, 1957. No big deal, right? Well, it's a pretty sought after program due to it being this game : https://sabr.org/gamesproj/game/sept...-ebbets-field/ Happy to cross it off my list. Doug |

Picked up a nice group of media passes from the Yankee dynasty years. Included in the lot is a pass from game 1 of the ALCS where Jeter would hit his "homerun" against Baltimore.

Had won a 1932 Indians scorecard via auction.
When it arrived it had a Cleveland Municipal Stadium seating chart insert that I did not know was coming The scorecard was completed and when I looked at it I saw the A’s beat the Indians 1-0 with Lefty Grove beating Mel Harder with a run in the 8th inning. That immediately rang a bell with me and I checked Baseball Reference The program appears to be from July 31, 1932 and is the first game played at cavernous Cleveland Municipal Stadium. A pleasant surprise to a neat piece |

1943 May 6th Beis-Mex Weekly Magazine Ray Dandridge
1 Attachment(s)
Thrilled with my latest pickup - a 1943 Beis-Mex weekly magazine with HOFer Ray Dandridge on the cover! Ray Dandridge is pictured with the Veracruz Blues ("Azules de Veracruz") from the Mexican League.
The magazine is in overall good condition, with all pages intact, cover still attached. Also includes articles about Lou Gehrig and Ty Cobb. Measures about 6-3/4" x 9" This fits nicely with my HOF Baseball Magazines collection. Always looking for more! |
