Counterfeit Alert: Mayweather RCs
 

Some assclown on eBay is selling 'reprint' Mayweather RCs. They do not say "reprint" on them and they look pretty good online (no idea how they look in hand). It is only a matter of time before someone tries to pass them off as genuine or some poor ignorant sap ends up selling one as genuine. My advice is not to buy the Mayweather rookie card unless one of the following applies:

1. It comes from a reputable seller who will not hesitate to issue a refund;

2. It is in a slab from a reputable TPG; or

3. It is part of the complete Brown's set from that year.

Damn, I guess it was only a matter of time. :(

It likely originates from a seller on Etsy, who reprints key rookies of most sports.

In-hand you can definately tell the difference.

I am sure in-hand it would be clear but that is too late for some sucker who buys via mail order.
