Koufax O'Connell & Son - help identifying

2 Attachment(s)
I know that O'Connell & Son (T.S.) did a bunch of baseball issues. I have never seen this one or one as large? It measures 8X10 and is printed on a heavy paper (very light cardboard) stock. It appears it could be a master or proof of sorts as the player name and team name plate is a separate piece and attached/glued on. Also the "/500" has no number indicating to me it was where a sequential number could be written in after printing??

Any help is appreciated.

If I'm not mistaken, that would be the original camera ready art for something.

But hopefully you'll hear from the best source on this soon.

Well, this is pretty cool. What I believe this is is a pasteup that I made from my original artwork and used the image in Sports Collectors Digest where I was an editor from 1983 to 2011. The artwork of Koufax was made around 1983 or so and used in 8-by-10-inch prints (most had watercolor added by hand) and also for the Mini-Prints smaller cards starting in 1984. The only reason there is a pasted-on section is I was able to make a nicer player name and team name with the computer program at SCD than my original hand-drawn names. I'd love to know how you came across this; as I noted, it's pretty cool. TS

...so much for the information T.S.

I found it in a box of misc photos and other ephemera at a dealer's table at the Chantilly VA show.
