1943 U.S. War Bond Drive citation poster featuring Gehrig, DiMaggio & Foxx (VG/EX). Patriotic Americans were honored with this citation after purchasing government bonds in support of the U.S. during World War II. The piece features the photos of (27) baseball stars and Hall of Famers of the era, including Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Jimmie Foxx, Bill Dickey, Bob Feller, Charlie Gehringer, Joe Cronin, Lefty Grove, Lefty Gomez, Hank Greenberg, Rick Ferrell and others. Center caption indicates it was presented "in honor and citation of a personal contribution to the April, 1943 United States War Bond Drive to defeat the Axis." Outstanding piece!
