Andrew jones game used Sam bat question?

Why doesn't my Andrew Jones game used signed Sam bat have his name engraved on it. Like some other game used bats I see? I bought it In 20007 when he was with the braves.

Was it scratched off? Sam bat player signatures are just stamped on with ink so it wouldn't take much to obliterate the name.
