REDUCED: 1958 Topps Hank Aaron and Brooks Robinson - PSA - *Perfectly Centered*

Up for sale are the following two 1958 Topps cards. The first is of Hammerin' Hank Aaron and the second is of Brooks Robinson.

Please see scans for condition. Despite the strong corners and near perfect centering, both have been graded PSA 2 (Good). These are far nicer examples than their technical grades and are perfect for collectors (like me).

Unfortunately, the 1958 Topps set is not my focus, so I need to part with these to make room for other cards I want to add to my collection.

Please PM me or email me at h2oya311@yahoo.com if interested in either/both.
  • Aaron = $350 $300
  • Robinson = $85 $75

Thanks for looking!

The PSA grades here cause me to make a face like Brooks on his card.

After reviewing both cards more closely, here's my assessment and rationale for the technical grades assigned by PSA:

Aaron - indentation to the right of his face. It goes all the way through to the back. The bottom left corner looks good from the front but appears to have a hairline crease on the bottom edge on the back. Other than that, everything looks good. Due to the indentation to the right of Aaron's face, the technical grade of "2" seems appropriate.

Robinson - like Josh mentioned in his post above, I think Robinson's expression says it all. This probably should have graded higher. There is a very small "issue" on the right edge. It appears to only impact the front. When looking at the back, the bottom right has some staining. Otherwise, no creases or other flaws that I can see other than the slightly softer corners representative more of a "5". How this only got a "2" is beyond me unless the stain marks it down that much...

Feel free to make me an offer. I picked both up in a trade earlier this year and this is what I thought was a fair trade value for each based on what I gave up.

Thanks,
Derek
