Hi just curious why this is the toughest T3 ... a fan of this set but not an expert.

He was a high # & legend has it that he wasn't as popular as the others & few ordered him.

Mark, my apologies for jumping on on this because it's your BST ad.

Ed, the Rhoades is considered the toughtest T3s to find because it can only be found with a checklist back as no Rhoades has ever been found with an ad back.

Part of the reason for his lack of popularity was that he played his last game in 1909 - could have actually been retired (or close to it) at the time the set was released.

I may be wrong about this, but I believe a member actually found a Rhoades with a Turkey Red back a couple of years ago. Maybe he will see this and confirm it.

Maybe Craig will weigh in as the resident guru of this set. I'm sure that he knows. He's got some super-rare variations with ad backs.
