Gehrig Knot Hole sign...real or not?

Any thoughts on this Gehrig sign? I've seen reproductions on ebay...but no real signs to compare it to. I welcome your input.

I bought one a few years ago and it was a fake. Person I bought it from refunded me my purchase price which I much appreciated.

I thought this was interesting. Based on the last feedback, I thought I had a fantasy piece...turns out it was a copy instead :D (assuming this one is real of course) (From Heritage FEB auction)
