Lelands Auction - Past AMAZING Item

1 Attachment(s)
While Lelands current auction as some amazing items, I missed this one from their Winter 22 auction.

I probably just glanced at it figured it was a bunch of autographs, but it's way more than that.

Was this discussed? Such an awesome piece. Anyone here own it?

It's pretty funny. So unique.

That's pretty freakin' epic.

Seems rather strange that it would sell for this price considering the Ruth autograph is secretarial.

Yeah you are correct. That is definitely not Ruth’s autograph/signature.

Couldn't agree more. This feels like $300K more than one would expect given that the Ruth is secretarial.

I would have thought maybe $10k for this, or perhaps $20k given the back story.

I remember seeing this. I didn’t remember it going for such big money. Wow. Love the shoutout he gives Gehrig. I also like how Mickey wrote just like he spoke - kinda folksy.

It's Impossible to pinpoint an accurate value on something like that. Yes, it still has plenty of appeal, although it's too bad Maris obviously wasn't around to sign it instead of Mantle.

And honestly, could Aaron and Mathews have put in a little more effort with their penmanship here?! (Also, help me out with Mathews' reason for being on this piece, as well as his inscription.)

Forgive me, but I look at this piece and keep comparing to if Jesus had sent a proxy to the Last Supper.

The Babe said for someone to break his HR record he would need a 4 hitter behind him like he had Gehrig.
