Would like your opinions on this 1958 Topps Baseball Set
 

I have been following this set for over a year...and other than your opinions on Kruk Cards...not sure why it hasn't sold yet when I compare it to other starter/complete/partial sets that I have seen sell on eBay over that time. Seems the breakup value would be easily worth it. If the bulk of the commons are also in ExMt without whack centering...I would think this is a decent deal... thoughts?

I’m wondering why the seller hasn’t gotten the Mantle graded.

All I will say is good luck on it being as described.

I have purchased from them before and had no problems. You will get differing opinions from many on here.

I have had like 95% success with them...only one lot like 15 years ago....was a mixed lot of like 20 Kaline's that was described as averaging Ex+ ...was not and was returned...most of the other stuff I have gotten from them has ben 68/84 Tigers or Isiah related.

A little more background...I will be in the area and view it in person...and I will offer cash to hopefully knock down the price and save on shipping...I am thinking 5K-5.3K.

So...back to the question at hand...if it looks as pictured... and the Mantle is a 5 at worst...any reason not to jomp on this?

In person I would go check them out and if they check out and you can get at least a 15% price reduction go for it.

Thanks...exactly what I was thinking...just surprised it has stayed there that long as I mentioned...other lesser conditioned items have been selling much stronger...must be their reputation.

The set is now showing as no longer available. Did you end up buying it?

Nope...will PM them...they have done this before with their 1950's sets so we will see. Will update when I hear back. Have to see it in person when I am dropping that much and there aren't many pictures of the bulk of the set. Wouldn't shock me also if someone snaked me on it lol.
