Vin Scully has passed away

Dodgers have just announced it. Heartbreaking to say the least as he was the voice of baseball. So many generations can say they listened to his voice on the radio, call some of the games greatest moments.

His call of Aaron's 715th was immortal, especially when he just stopped talking and let the crowd noise speak for itself.

On the other hand, his call of the Bill Buckner error to this day can make me ill.

Great cadence, incredible enthusiasm for the game, a true superstar.

Beautifully said, Peter.

He was also one of the last links to an era long past. He saw most of the games greats. I cannot think of baseball, without thinking of Vin Scully.

A shame, he was a wonderful part of baseball history and a great storyteller. I heard while at the Dodgers/Giants game tonight, really put a damper on the fun for both sides fans.

Well said. I legend was lost and the history of games he called is amazing
