Sad News -- Ted Holden
A long-time collector and friend to many of us in the DFW area passed away on Monday. May his memory be for a blessing.

I am devastated to hear this. I had exchanged emails with him just a month or so ago and knew he was doing poorly. Despite me living in New Jersey and he in Texas, we hit it off immediately and kept in contact for the last 24 years. He and I "partnered" on a Koester bread lot back in 1999 - I took the Jesse Burkett and he took all the rest! 🤣 We "argued" constantly about the relative merits of our hometown teams - the Yankees and Rangers. He had a wickedly snarky sense of humor! He was also incredibly realistic about his condition and faced it bravely with tons of help from his wife.
RIP - mi amigo! |

Back in the Philly Show days (at Fort Washington), Ted would be a regular visitor at my table. We had a lot of fun trading cards, stories, and jokes.

I knew Ted as he lived in Plano, close to me. I had been to his house several times and he mine. We did quite a few deals. Always a pleasant and kind soul. RIP Ted . |
